Here’s what you need to know about our new normal as of the 24th of September…
Firstly, THANK YOU.
We appreciate everyone's support during these trying times for our industry.
Thank you for your patience as we all navigate these different times.
Since we have opened our venue, we try to ensure best practice in social distancing and to provide a safer environment, we will have fewer people working on each shift. We also have fewer people in our kitchen which means serving a reduced menu over reduced hours. Although we’re not expecting a change in our service level, we appreciate your understanding while we get to grips with the lay of our new land.

We understand the new government safety requirements may feel weird to start and they may chain from time to time and we will adapt, and we’re still the same old us…just an improved version!
Now with the recent changes that have taken effect please be aware of the following requirements;
Staff and customers must wear a face covering when indoors at pubs, bars, restaurants, cafés and any other premises providing hospitality except when seated at a table to eat or drink. However, customers must put a face covering back on once they have finished eating or drinking.
People already exempt from existing face covering obligations will continue to be so. Exemptions include children under 11, those who cannot wear a face covering because of a physical or mental illness, impairment or disability, when speaking to someone or helping someone who relies on lip reading, clear sound or facial expressions when communicating.
The Government also laid out scenarios when face coverings may be removed and this includes for age identification purposes so if a member of staff asks a customer for proof of identity when buying alcohol.
Pubs, bars, restaurants, cafés must be closed each day between 10pm and 5am, meaning no customers are allowed to be in the pub after 10pm.
Again, all food and drink in pubs must be ordered from and served at a table only, via our Hopt app.
Track and Trace
Pubs & Restaurants will need to display the official NHS QR code posters so customers can ‘check in’ at different venues using this option or you can also use our app every time you complete a purchase.
Secondly, Importantly, we’ve got safety covered!
We have been diligent in following government guidelines to create a clean, hygienic, and most importantly, safe environment for you to enjoy. We have been gone a step further our venue is certified COVID SAFE. (Learn more click here)
We ask that you kindly practice caution if you are feeling unwell in any way or if you have been in contact with anyone who is ill or experiencing any of the COVID-19 symptoms (including but not limited to: cough, temperature, loss of taste or smell).
We’ve conducted controlled tests to arrive at, what we believe, is the safest way to re-open our pub:
This is a non-contact sport. Let’s get social but keep our distance. You’ll see lots of reminders of this around the pub.
Don’t go moving. We’ve carefully planned the position of our tables and chairs to make sure everyone feels safe with social distancing.
The Host are here to guide you. Someone will be there to greet you and show you to your table, we’ve also added signs to help you.
You’re never too far away from a freshen up. We have plenty of hand sanitizer stations; positioned at the entrance and dotted around the site.
We’ve gone all technological. We’ve invested in new systems & software to reduce touchpoints.
We have implementied a table service only ordering process. All orders will need to be made from the table via mobile app. We have also implemented rigorous cleaning procedures on top of our usual day to day cleaning.
Be a washer, not a walker Please wash your hands after visiting the bathroom.
Third, We’re up to date with technology

Save time and register at home with our new app Hopt for ordering from your table. Click on this link to register and view our menus before you arrive, leaving you time to enjoy your experience and company.
Fourth, Have you booked?
To safely reopen our doors for you and our team, We will be operating a suggested reservation policy on a pre-paid basis to guarantee a table, as this enables us to control the flow of people as and when we are able to welcome you back. We are requiring a minimum of 4 people per table with a maximum of 8 people in the same group.
Please be advised that showing up at the door you may not be able to gain entry if we are at capacity.
Fifth, Excuse us while we change…the table
When you’re shown to your table, you’ll notice a few little changes. Our cutlery will provided with a napkin. We want to ensure everything is clean & safe as and when you need them. We will also be providing sachets of condiments for the time being.
If you need anything else just ask and we’ll grab it.
